I was shocked to see when I logged onto Facebook today that there are people who are trying to make Earth Hour a monthly event. Good job whoever started this, kudos.
The event itself has more than 20,000 people and growing.
let's see how far we can take this, even though I know there are skeptics, there is a possibility for something really good to come from this.
Turn off your lights... It's Toronto's Fourth Annual Erotic Arts Blender Feb 5 through till the 10th.

This event isn't for your average teen who wants to see Jenna Jameson do unholy things with inanimate objects. This is a mature event where people from all over the city and GTA are invited to take part in something that "challenges the norms of gender, sexuality and body image. These issues are linked to larger systems of oppressions such as class, race and ability. Erotic Blender has been created to bring artists from various communities together with this understanding."

I decided to include this into my blog because my art is going to be a part of the show! That's right! I paint erotic silhouettes of couples in mid-coitus. If you are hearing the name for the first time, try not to forget it. Global Aware runs a small shop on Kensington Ave and a show room in the Kensington Mall. They sell everything from activist stickers which exclaim "Take back your mind. Reject advertising in public space" tp posters depicting mutilated children in Sierra Leone; victims of diamond mining.Their task is not to shock and disturb anyone for no reason, their task is to shock and disturb people into creating change. Or as Clive puts it, "Change has to be radical." I encourage everyone to check out their shop, buy a pin and support this cooperative (pst...they're all volunteers).

You say your scared about the future, so do something about it.

GET INVOLVED!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_HAQ8AVgeCiM/RzSZqRLF9nI/AAAAAAAAAAM/kOCDemJHAkM/s320/logo.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5130894826925323890" />

Looking for ways to get involved in media awareness?
Look no further for incentive to get involved.
Our generation has a right to motivate others to save the planet.
If you haven't already check out the documentary created by the Media Education Fund - Advertising and the End of the World.
It's gives us a harsh reality of our worlds consumption and the expected end of all resources and the struggle for survival in little less than 100 years time.
Let's not make this a reality for future generations.
Go to this site and learn how to get involved.
